Your child’s journey starts here.

We explore, discover, develop, imagine and create.

Early childhood development is crucial to becoming a confident and enthusiastic learner. Our main aim is to instil confidence and a sense of achievement in each individual as a foundation to future learning. Our pre-primary school accepts learners from 1 year old. We offer English and Afrikaans classes for Toddler, Pre-Primary and Grade R learners. In this creative and stimulating enviroment their talents are nurtured by our passionate and caring teachers.

Our Toddler Class

We EXPLORE In the Honeypot class

My fingers keep feeling – is it smooth, is it hot?

I keep looking – what is bright and what is not?

My little body is in the midst of it all:

Whether it’s foam or a bath of balls,

the sandpit or a pretend tea party

it is my most pleasurable duty

to look, to feel, to see, to hear,

to taste, to smell and ENJOY

Teacher Super Power:

Positive Energy

In my class:

We incorporate all your skills in new learning areas – from Mathematics and Science to Language and Technology. We do a lot of art and learn so much about so many things whilst painting, constructing, cutting and conversing. We plan teddybear picnics and reading parties, so much fun!

Our Pre-Primary School

Pre-primary activities are playful ways of discovering our fascinating world, and developing our clever little minds. Our pre-primary department is big enough to keep school exciting, but small enough to ensure carefully monitoring by our teachers. Some activities are, of course, just for fun. Since we learn through play, our playground provides age appropriate activities and equipment suitable to children of all ages in our pre-primary phase. Our annual concert is a highlight for everyone involved.

Jungle Tots Class and Pandaklas (2-3 years old)

Teacher: Bianca Diedericks

Class Assistant: Matshabu Rapati

Here we DISCOVER!

My shoes are purple and so’s the door

Now there’s purple paint on the floor …

But teacher smiles – it’s just messy play

That’s how we learn and go forward on our way

Triangles, jungle gyms, playmates, construction,

Insects, slides, sounds and more action

That which we explored throughout our Honeypot year

We now discover more in depth and it becomes clear

Dragonfly Class and Eendjieklas (3-4 year)

Teacher: Chrisstel Ras

Class Assistant: Lauretta Masetloa

Here we DEVELOP!

I play alongside Emma, I know she is there

My class and I start to share adventures where

We can finally cut with a pair of scissors!

And make circles all by ourselves

Sing songs, memorise rhymes

We feel like the cleverest elves

Treasure Cave Class (4-5 year)

Teacher: Catrien Tempelhoff

Teacher: Dienie Wilters

Here we IMAGINE and CREATE

In class as a group we invent new worlds

With lego and dino’s, Barbies and twirls

We are comfortable with the skills we display

Holding a paint brush and creating with clay

Through play and more play

We are ready to learn in a more structured way

Our Grade R Classes

Our Grade R’s are considered to be the leaders of the pre-primary school. Although much of their learning is still through play, it becomes more structured and formal. The focus is not only on teaching them to read and write in this early stage of the foundation phase, but to gain the confidence to learn and to realise that the world is their oyster –anything is possible. As always, we learn through play, while we introduce more skills in challenging new ways.

In Grade R our children start to prominently develop two life skills: problem-soving and debating.  We ask questions, consider many answers and learn from early on that there are two sides to every story.

Our main aim is to instil confidence and a sense of achievement in each individual as a foundation to future learning. Every year, we see our Grade R’s progress to primary school with eager confidence and continue to learn with success.

Grade REB

Teacher: Erica Botha

English Class
Teacher Erica’s Super Power:
Philanthropy
In my class:
All a child ever want, all they ever need, is someone who believes in them. Someone who says: I know you can, of course you can. I will guide with love and patience, with a deeply rooted respect for the fact that every child is different. My classroom will always be my happy place.

Grade REE

Teacher: Euline Coetzee

English Class
Teacher Euline’s Super Power:
Self esteem booster
In my class:
Through creativity and art I can help my class to develop the skills to observe with a keen eye and ear. A child who has mastered the skill of observing with all senses, develops a deeper understanding of life.
I regard myself as a facilitator in my class – you know how to find your own solutions to the problems I pose en you love the process! In my class children must learn to think for themselves. This is the start of your conscious cognitive journey!
